Simple for even non-technical users to add or edit content, update images, and to manage the data on your website. Anybody with basic word processing skills can easily learn to manage the site. Via a simple, browser-based web interface you will be able to easily edit, delete and create an unlimited amount of sections or content pages on your website.
Content contributors can easily create and edit richly formatted content using Microsoft Word-like toolbars. The editor has multiple browser and platform compatibility, and provides support for standards-based format tags, text find and replace, HTML clean functions, property inspector panels, contextual menus, style definitions, and more.
Landmark Design’s Content Management System (CMS) allows a variety of levels of access for users once they have logged-in.
Web page levels are :-
- Public: The article will be available to every user in the Public area of the website including guests.
- Registered: If the Author chooses to make the Access Level Registered, the content will only be available to Registered users.
- Special: Determines that the article will only be available to users with Author, Editor, Publisher or Manager permissions.
The Users levels are :-
Front-end -
- Registered: A Registered User has no ability to create, edit, or publish content on the web site. They may have access to restricted content that is not available to public guests (not logged-in).
- Author: Authors can create their own content, specify certain aspects of how the content will be displayed, and specify the date when the material should be published.
- Editor: Editors have the same abilities as an Author and they can edit their own content as well as that of any other Author.
- Publisher: Publishers can perform all the duties of Authors and Editors and have the ability to publish content.
Back-end –
- Manager: A Manager has the same permissions as a Publisher but with access to the Backend Administrator’s panel. Managers have access to all the content associated controls in the administrator panel.
On the right is an example of the back-end browser menu. This allows you to access and control the website’s layout, content, products, categories, users, images, functions and menus. This also gives you access to page hit statistics, most popular pages, latest pages etc.
Using the Content Management System allows cost-effective (free!) maintenance of the website. All that is required, is some of your staff’s time, using only a browser to make your changes to your website. Minimal training is required as the editing interface is based on Microsoft icons and toolbars, that most users are already familiar with. No need to involve a website developer every time you need to make an update. Simply do it yourself. Easily, professionally and instantly!
